Turkey, Istanbul, 2025. A protestor waves Turkish flag near riot police outside of Istanbul’s city hall as thousands of people gathered to protest against the detention of the mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglu, after his diploma was revoked (without it, he cannot stand in the presidential elections) on March 19th.

Imamoglu has managed to beat Erdogan's Akp party three times in previous various elections and has announced his candidacy for the next general elections.
