Turkey, Istanbul, 2025. Thousands of people gathered outside Istanbul’s city hall to protest against the detention of the mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglu, after his diploma was revoked (without it, he cannot stand in the presidential elections) on March 19th.

Imamoglu has managed to beat Erdogan's Akp party three times in previous various elections and has announced his candidacy for the next general elections.
