JORDAN. Amman. 29 August, 2024.
Ziad, 52, with his 7 year-old daughter Ghena in the hospital room that they share at MSF’s Reconstructive Surgery Hospital in Amman, Jordan.
Ziad, from Nuseirat Camp in central Gaza, is a psychologist who was working for UNRWA when his home was hit directly by an Israeli airstrike. The house was leveled, killing 13 members of Ziad’s family, including his wife, his youngest son Mohammed, as well as his eldest son Tareq, who was visiting from Russia. Ziad’s 17 year-old son Karam, and Ghena, were severely injured in the attack and are currently being treated at MSF’s Reconstructive Surgery Hospital in Amman, Jordan.
