Cristina De Middel
SPAIN. Sevilla. Monday, March 17, 2025. From the project: "Miradas al Cooperativismo Andaluz: 30 años, 30 fotos".
Antonio Gala School, located in Seville, is an educational center managed by the Andalusian Teachers’ Cooperative. It was founded in 1983, when a group of teachers from different parts of the province, inspired by the values of cooperativism, launched an educational project based on participation, social justice, and job stability. After overcoming numerous initial challenges, the school now offers all levels of school education, as well as Vocational Training for Employment. It features modern facilities designed with sustainability in mind: green playgrounds, bioclimatic classrooms, its own cafeteria, sports areas, and an eco-efficient management model that fosters an optimal environment for learning and the holistic development of students.
