AUSTRALIA. Queensland Outback. Feral pig hunters. Pigs have to be gutted straight away to avoid bloating of the intestines which may then break rendering the pig unfit for sale. Hunters require strict licences to be able to gut and sell pigs to the chiller rooms where most are exported overseas. The Wedgetail eagles and other scavengers clean up the intestines within a matter of hours. 2003
