GEORGIA. Rustavi. Metallurgical plant. Established on virgin land immediately after World War Two, Rustavi became Georgia's leading industrial centre. The metallurgical plant was the republic's largest employer. Now largely closed, some rennovation work has begun, and it will begin production again soon. 21 March 2009.
