Fountain pens, like watches are sort of obsolete, but at the same time they function as jewelry and collectibles, and Conway Stewart have successfully given up the everyday market for the high end, hand-crafted quality product. The factory is like a museum, with Victorian metal-presses and lathes that I guess are from the 1920s, and everywhere is stuff, bits-of-pen stuff, and this bits-of-pen stuff was on a windowsill, along with a railway pencil. 2013.
