CANADA. Quebec. 1993. In the taiga forests of northern Quebec, caribou are hunted by the Cree and their meat is salted and dried. They are paid by the Canadian government to pass several months in the black country hunting and gathering. Whilst they live in teepees for part of the year hunting and fishing from their comfortable homes in newly-built towns near the shores of james bay remain centrally heated. 1993.
