GB. England. Wiltshire. Salisbury. The Trussell Trust was founded by Carol and Paddy Henderson in 1997. The Trussell Trust’s initial Bulgaria projects focussed on improving conditions for the 60+ children sleeping at the Central Railway Station. While fundraising for Bulgaria in Salisbury in 2000, the founders became aware of hidden hunger in the UK and the Salisbury foodbank was begun in the founders' garden shed and garage to provide three days of emergency food to local people in crisis. In 2004 the UK foodbank network was launched teaching churches and communities nationwide how to start their own foodbank. Here a volunteer sorts clothes in the Trust's warehouse. 2012
