G.B. ENGLAND. DNA Fingerprints : a revolutionary new process in the fight against crime. This process has been tested for the first time in court during the investigation on the murder of the Black Pad. A rapist-killer haunting a English village left one clue behind him : a piece of his own DNA. To trap him the police needed the blood of every young man in the town.
Detective Anthony Painter, who by the end of August 1987, had 5500 blood samples, but no killer. Photographed in Ten Pound lane the scene of one of the murders. 1987.
