MEXICO. San Ignacio, Baja California Sur. 2020. Migrating gray whales stay in Mexico to mate and give birth from January to March every year. It draws tourists to a number of government-run eco tourism camps in the San Ignacio Lagoon. Last year there was a rare die-off among the whales. 215 whales had washed up on beaches by the year’s end.
