GERMANY, Bavaria, 2015/11. Neugablonz, Kaufbeuren. Museum commemorating the deportation of Millions of ethnic Germans from former German territories in Eastern Europe after the WW2 defeat. Especially Bavaria accomodated a large number of them and they became part of the post WW2 German economic miracle, “Wirtschaftswunder”. New towns as Neu-Gablonz were built mirroring the town in now Czechoslovakia. The deportees luggage is tagged with the virtues explaining the success of the newly arriving refugees: “Laboriousness and Patience”.
