A fighter affiliated with the armed branch of the leftist Turkish party, the Communist Labour Party of Turkey/Leninist (TKEP/L), stands next to his party's banner in a frontline position by the Euphrates river near the Syrian town of Sarrin. A small number of TKEP/L fighters have travelled to Syria to help the YPG in their fight against IS.
