Ian Berry
GB. England. Wiltshire. Salisbury. Salisbury Cathedral. Artist Michael Pendry's installation of 2,500 white origami doves 'fly' the length of the nave. He has exhibited in San Francisco, London, Berlin, Jerusalem and Munich, each time asking locals people to fold doves which are then included in the next installation. They symbolise peace and freedom and, he says, 'May the flock of doves grow, from place to place, from country to country, and across all borders. Peace, freedom and sustainability in a world of change and disturbance are the key themes of my installations'. 2018
