At the height of World War One, in september 1915 a three day meeting of all different socialist groups in exile in Europe is secretely organized, in the guise of an ornithological conference. In the “Zimmerwald Manifesto” the Socialists agreed to unite their struggle beyon the national animostities that were tearing the continent appart.
