Yeganah, 24, and her son Adam, register to receive economic support from the ICRC, which provides small grants to widows to help them start businesses and support their families. Four years ago, Yeganah’s home city was attacked. She explained that armed men broke into her house and forced her husband to go with them. She hasn’t heard from him since, and lives now with her two children and her parents. “I managed to save some money with ICRC's help and I bought a sewing machine, and I am able to make money and support my family.” She said. “I always tell my kids to be patient, I'm sure that one day their father will come back to his family.”
