A burned bathroom in the home of Waldo Albarracin, the Rector of Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, President of the National Committee for the Defense of Democracy (CONADE), and a well known critic of former President Evo Morales, stands inside his burned home in La Paz. On the night of 10 November 2019, a crowd of 500 supporters of Evo Morales looted and set fire to Albarracin’s house while his family were inside. Two of his children remained inside the house before they managed to escape over the walls and into a neighbor’s house.
