Rafal Milach
Germany. Berlin 10.2019 One of two trees that survived defforestation of the former border death strip at the area of South Berlin.
Ralph was born 1964. Few years before the land that belonged to his family for
generations was taken by authorities in favour of border wall construction. As a kid he used to play at the area of death strip throwing stones on the wall. The property was given
back to the family in the beginning of the 1990’s. Ralph has been living there since then.
The former west German patrol roads used by American Sector army are still visible part
of his property, as well as two poplars that were the only two trees surviving the death
strip deforestation.
Ralph owns 25 scottisch highland cows, x Jakob’s sheeps, x horses, 4 dogs, 2 cats
