BRAZIL. ITACARÉ. April 11, 2020. A “Judas” hangs from the branch of a tree in a central square of Itacaré. “Judas” are dummies used for protection against evil people during Easter in Brazil. Since the closing of all commercial activity, restaurants and bars are no longer the meeting point of people in this small town. Instead, the squares or the entrance of their houses have become the new gatheing point for those who need to give a pause to the confinment.
