UK. June 7, 2020. BLM protest in Bristol, where all the city came together peacefully. The statue of Edward Colston - Bristol-born merchant, slave trader, and Member of Parliament – which stands in the center of the city -- has been polemic for the past 20 years. Today it was taken down from his stone pedestal, where later people stood to speak. The statue was laying on the floor for a while. Later, the collective impulse was to push it together down the street and throw it into the river.
