Qasem, 15, is seen in the rehabilitation center run by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and supported by the ICRC in Damascus Feb. 24, 2016. Originally from Deir ez-Zor, he is now living in Damascus. Qasem had an infection in his leg, and due lack of proper treatment and a deteriorating situation, it had to be amputated.
