The ecological benefits of these changes are questionable, while the economic and pleasure costs are considerable.
A demonstration of motorists and motorcyclists protesting the new law gathers at the Bastille before going on a ride through the city. Eric, 58, lives in the Val de Oise suburbs and works in Paris. He doesn't use his 1989 Saab 900 to go to work (he uses the Metro), but he wants to demonstate his solidarity with the protest movement against a law that he deems unjust.
