USA. Weeki Wachee Springs, Florida.  2009.  Started in 1947 by World War II Navy veteran Newton Perry, the Weeki Wachee attraction had its heyday as a roadside stopover in the 50’s and 60’s.  Now, it is cracked and fading, though a mermaid show continues to be its centerpiece.
