CHINA. Shenzhen, Guangdong. Three of China's best-known and most representative export items are toys, shoes, and garments. The Wan Teng Share Company, which began operations in 1984, today employs about four thousand workers. Two of its subsidiaries are Crown-Li Toys and Cornet Garment Manufacturers, the latter producing garments for toys. These are cooperatives, referred to as town and village firms.
