Elliott Erwitt
SCOTLAND. 2011. Champagne Central, Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow Central Station, Glasgow. Central Station, the main train hub of Glasgow, opened in 1879. The neighbouring Grand Central Hotel opened just four years later, designed by Scottish architect Robert Rowan Anderson in the Queen Anne style. The hotel's champagne bar boasts many original features including pillars, a domed ceiling and marble floor, and with views across the busy station, offers an ideal location for people watching.
