David Seymour
FRANCE. Paris. 1952. Ecole de Puericulture. Premature birth. Bottles containing the prepared formula carry a number corresponding to that of the child. Feeding the premature is a special study in itself. Often a mixture of mother's milk and other types is given with all the fat removed in order not to strain under-developed digestive systems. Mothers give their milk to the hospital lactarium where it is analyzed before being prescribed to a baby.
