MOLDOVA. Transdniesters economic system is a curious blend of piratic business practices and Soviet-style communism. The one private company that is flourishing is the Sheriff company, which runs huge swaths of Transdniester's economy - including gas stations, TV companies, mobile phone operators, the main import-export businesses and other thing.
