UGANDA. Sembabule. April 25, 2007. Africa Malaria Day in Uganda was celebrated in a small rural village in the district of Sembabule. People living in rural areas suffer the most from malaria, because of inadequate medecines to treat the disease and lack of bed nets. Spectators picked up materials on malaria from local health NGOs. Government officials from the health ministeries and representatives of major development organizations like UNICEF and WHO spoke during the days precedings.
