KENYA. Burnt Forest. 2008. The internally displaced family of Njoroges, of the Kikuyu tribe, fled their village of Turbo, when local Kikuyus were targeted by mobs. The stayed at the cathedral Sacred Heart of Jesus in Eldoret for two nights, before setting out, by truck, for the central Kenyan region of Nakuru, where they had relatives, hoping for safer ground. They salvaged most of their furniture, seen on the truck.
