PALESTINE. 2004. Beit Surik village. Peaceful joint Palestinian-Israeli demonstration against the wall. The Palestinian village of Beit Surik has already been re-built twice. It was destroyed in the 1948 war and again in the 1967 war. Due to these conflicts and current settlement expansion it has lost 40% of its land. The construction of the wall threatens to take away most of their remaining property (80%, or over 50,000 dunums of land) leaving the village without resources, including water.
