CHINA. Junshan. Hunan. 1983. Tea pickers. Yueyang Lou, a famed ancient tower, overlooks Lake Dongting, inspiration of many poems and paintings. China's best tea "silver needle tea" is cultivated. When the water rises from May to December, Junshan becomes a small island floating in a lake. Only 20kg of silver needle tea is harvested annually and most is sent to senior government officials in Beijing.
