IRAQ, Umm Qasr. September 22, 2010. The site of the first battle after the American-led invasion, Umm Qasr has been steadily rebuilt, with American assistance that included dredging berths and channels and removing unexploded bombs and sunken ships from the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980's.
