USA. Las Cruces, New Mexico. 2011. The band Of Montreal was staying at the same motel that we did in Las Cruces. But I was more interested in the guys in their opening band, Painted Palms. I was particulary taken with their lanky, tree/wall climbing bassist, Paul KEELAN.
