Crazy Horse, a shirt wearer, leader of the Oglala Lakota took up arms against the US Federal Government that included leading a war party to victory at the Battle of The Little Big Horn in 1867. Perhaps the greatest of Plains Indian leaders, he was mortally wounded by a military guard while resisting arrest in 1877.
