CANADA. Ontario. January 2, 2013. Dismantling of the CN spur line blockade on January 2, 2013, due to legal intimidation. The Chippewa Indians of Aamjiwnaang had been blockading the CN line in solidarity with Chief Theresa Spences hunger fast which began on December 11, 2012. Indigenous peoples across Canada continue peaceful protests in the form of flash mobs and street blockades.
