COLOMBIA. Dumingueka. 2012. A small Kogi village in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada's. Most Kogi live in isolation in the mountains but this village was established as a conduit point to the outside world and a place where the children can get an education.
The Kogi are a small native tribe living in the mountains of northern Colombia. There lives are spiritual in nature, living of the land and paying reverence to nature. Although the Colombian government makes some efforts to educate and assimilate the Kogi, they largely live in isolation from the modern world.
