CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 1999. Victims of landmines are seen in Phnom Penh eking out a living as beggars. Children sell items such as newspapers and cigarettes. In fact, several hundred children were living on the sides of the roads in the area near the central market, and I wondered what circumstances turned them into street children. I felt uncomfortable taking photos of them.
