Jerusalem. It was a day of great celebration, on that day the 3 year old boy's virgin locks of hair were to be cut off for the first time.He was now no longer a baby but a young boy and about to begin in earnest the studies for his Bar Mitzvah. With their sons on their shoulders, the men dance and sang while uncles offered drinks, and scissors in hand clipped the hair. The mothers at a distance looked on approvingly and cried.Their joy was for the future of the family and the community.
