Los Angeles 4th August 1962. The bedside table of Marilyn Monroe's house in Brentwood district of Los Angeles., showing a pharmacy prescription by Dr Hyman Engelberg her Doctor of the 25th July 1962 for Chloral hydrate 0.5 grms. On the 4th August 1962 Monroe died from an overdose of lethal barbiturates.It is assumed she had consumed a mixture of Nembutal, and an equally fatal dose of chloral hydrate.
