INDIA. Jaipur, Rajasthan. 1998. Castle walls enclose the old city section of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan State. Because the castle walls and the walls of the homes in Jaipur are painted pink, the city is also called the "Pink City." Near Ghat Gate a market opens from early morning where milk (mainly from water buffalo) is sold. Persons influenced by Indian culture like to drink strong tea, usually a number of cups a day, with lots of milk and sugar in it.
