1963. Paestum. Pasteum was founded between the 6th and 7th centuries BC by the Greeks of Siberius. It was completely abandoned in 476 AD due to an epidemic of malaria and was not rediscovered until 1752. The Greek Temple of Poseidium was built around 450 BC in Paestum.
