There were 2000 American troops who left their lives on the Normandy beach called OMAHA (the Longest Day during the allied liberation armada of 6th June 1944, and among them was the American Soldier Ed Regan.

This is a portrait of Ed Regan as a Sargent in the US Army, it was taken in November 1944 shortly after coming out of hospital. He had been awarded the American SILVER STAR for destroying an enemy unit in Normandy and also the French CROIX DE GUERRE.
