Camel races in the periphery of the city of Dubai are organised by the Sheiks who are the owners of all the animals, kept in special breeding farms. The keepers are exclusively Beduins hired by the Sheiks and the riders are children, because they are light weightened. Accidents are rather often and a fall from the camel during a race can mean serious handicap even death of the child.
