PHILIPPINES. Tawitawi. 1997. The ocean in this area has a coral reef, and the water is perfectly clear, making Tawitawi seemingly a paradise. The fishermen, though, frequently fish unlawfully, using dynamite. Also, if they see a good opportunity to do so, they immediately change from being fishermen to being pirates. It is dangerous for foreigners to visit this area unless escorted by Filipino marines, stationed nearby.
