BRAZIL. Brasilia. The Palacio da Alvorada (designed by Oscar Niemeyer), 1977. The presidential palace built on a tongue of land projecting out into the Lago Paranoa with its mature park. The ground floor houses an auditorium and utility areas, the main floor the halls of state, and the top floor a private apartment for the president and his family.
