THE ARCTIC. Eric is working, tens of kilometers away from Le Vagabond. It is a question there of analyzing, throughout a trip of several tens of kilometers, the thickness of the ice of waters from the fjord. The horizontal tube put on the sled is fed by a very reliable source of electricity. It sounds and records very precisely the thickness of the ice during the movement of the snow scooter. The results are postponed on electronics maps on board and sent to the specialists who will determine with this measure, weekly or even daily, informations of all kinds on the movements of waters, salinity etc.... Nobody would have been able to consider the register of such extremely precious indications as a better understanding of these regions if a geophysicist such as Eric Brossier and his family did not stay in these inhuman parts of the world.
