Marshrutka (short for the now archaic Marshrutniye Taxi) are minibuses that shuttle passengers all over the Caucasus. As well as acting as intown bus services, they connect cities and towns over fairly large distances. Unlike regular busses, marshrutkas can be hailed at any point along their route, and similarly, will stop to drop off passengers anywhere along it.
