Returnees from nothern Sudan. Many people have returned from the North to the district of Abyei, which South and North Sudan both lay claim to. It was one of the most divisive issues during the negotiations, and was a flashpoint in the immediate aftermath of the death of Dr John Garang de Mabior, a former Sudanese politician and rebel leader, who died in a helicopter crash in 2005.
