At Gangala-na-Bodio in the former belgian Congo is the Elephant Farm and Training School (the first in Africa). It has no trouble placing graduates into zoos, circuses, or for heavy farm work in the Congo itself. Run by Belgian Major J. Haezeart, most of the training is done by Zande tribesmen, the world's elephant experts.
