ISRAEL. Al-Arakib, Negev Desert. November 26, 2016. Awad Abu-Freih visits the grounds of the Forest of the German Lands near the unrecognized Bedouin village of Al-Arakib. This forest was planted by the Jewish National Fund, with the financial support from the German government, in the land that Awad's grandfather Sweilim Abu-Freih purchased lot by lot from 1926 to 1947 and was later confiscated by the State of Israel.
